About Me
Yiyao Lu also known as BL3ND is a Zhejiang-born, Boston-based electronic music producer, performer, and sound designer, currently studying Electronic Production and Design at Berklee College of Music. From an early age, electronic music played a pivotal role in his life. Influenced by renowned DJs such as Skrillex, Disclosure, GEN-KLOUD, and ISOxo, Yiyao embarked on a journey to explore and master the realms of electronic music and sound design. He is dedicated to discovering a sound that represents his artistic identity, constantly refining his skills in sound design to express his unique understanding of audio. As a student at Berklee, Yiyao showcases his creativity and deep knowledge of sound through electronic music performances, production, and game audio design. He aspires to become a sound designer and music producer representing China on the global stage, while actively engaging with and exchanging knowledge with those passionate about electronic music production and sound design, promoting his understanding of sound design and production techniques worldwide.

Hebron Academy
Electronic Production and Sound Design Major Minor in Electronic Performance Specializing in producing a variety of electronic music styles, including House, Garage, Techno, and Midtempo. Skilled in arranging and performing original electronic music using Ableton Live and Ableton Push 2, integrating various instruments for dynamic live performances. Expertise in reimagining and covering existing songs by transforming them into electronic music performances, both with and without acoustic musical instruments. Proficient in recording and processing audio to create sound effects applicable to music production, game audio, and film foley, ensuring high-quality, immersive soundscapes. Contributed to a collaborative game development project between the University of Southern California and Berklee College of Music, designing and producing UI and action sound effects. Applied sound design expertise to enhance the game’s interactive elements. Developed strong technical abilities in sound design, focusing on enhancing creative projects through innovative audio solutions.
Played a key role as the principal guitarist in the Hebron Academy Jazz Band, actively contributing to performances throughout the year. Performed with the jazz band at the Hebron Academy Winter Concert in 2019 Gained experience in ensemble performance, collaborating with fellow musicians to deliver a successful and well-received concert program. Selected to be the DJ for the class of 2019 prom, delivering a highly successful and well-received performance that contributed to the overall success of the event.
